Attune to the Pulse of Ancient Egypt . . .
The mysteries, magic and memories . . .
The rituals, ceremonies and prayers . . .
The path of the soul,
the longing of the spirit . . .
The powerful initiations into universal spheres of peace . . .
“Man, know yourself . . . and you shalt know the gods.”
“ Listen to your conviction,
even if they seem absurd to your reason.”
“Seek peacefully, you will find."
““Egypt is full of dreams, mysteries, memories.”
Ancient Egypt was a complete, all-encompassing, cosmos unto itself. The spiritual pulse of old Egypt, like the river Nile flowing through a long landscape, enlivened and enrich the fields and folk.
As a unique civilization, Ancient Egypt entices our imaginations into this day, with her sophisticated culture, and her complex and colorful belief system. Perhaps nowhere else on the planet was a culture allowed to unfold over 10,000 years relative isolation, allowing one of the most complete, intricate and powerful religious systems known to humanity.
The Egyptian pantheon of gods and goddesses was vast, with each deity representing different aspects of life and universal order. ‘Ma’at’, for example, offered balance, order, harmony, and justice. Other deities, such as ‘Seth’ and ‘Isfet’, rendered chaos and destruction. Earth, the manifestation of the male god ‘Geb’, was eternally coupled with the sky goddess ‘Nut’, his celestial sister and partner. The planets and star systems were the abodes of the Gods, and the multifold temples became their earthly residences. The animal kingdom, and the natural world in general, was treated with reverence and perceived as a sacred and integral part of divine creation.
This intricate system of beliefs fostered the deep inner, and always creative, conflict within each Egyptian soul, quickening the pulse, and sometimes clouding the mind.
One aspect longed for a full re-union with a primal state of pre-existence located on Heliopolis on the original hill known as the ‘Benben’. This is an eternal pull and power of the spirit to reunify with the original impulse. Indeed, not only were the spires of every pyramid and obelisk a full reflection of the hill, but as the high priest and priestressess entered in the holy of holies of every temple, it was a return to the very precipice of the primordial.
The other prevailing longing belongs more to the soul. This is the will to transverse existence to ultimately transcend life into a state of union with the divine hierarchy, foremost the god Osiris. By passing the trials and tribulations of both daily and spiritual life, protecting the purity of the heart, they were able to harvest the fruits of a long journey into eternity.
The Egyptian religion also offered a comprehensive understanding of life and death, with the belief in an afterlife and the journey of the soul through various stages of the netherworld.
The concept of resurrection and the path of Osiris were central to the Egyptian belief system, offering a sense of hope and continuity beyond death.
The Ancient Egyptians were students and masters of consciousness. The Eskimos have over 50 words for to describe the consistencies of snow. Likewise, the Ancient Egyptians, at home in more arid conditions, discerned that the soul is composed of 9 intertwined yet distinct aspects.
